I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) in 2007 from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I worked for Johnson Mental Health Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 2 years and with the Social Security Administration for 1 year. My internship training was at the Vanderbilt Adult Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic (VAPOC) in Nashville, TN with a secondary rotation in Military Sexual Trauma at the Department of Veteran Affairs.
I completed a one-year postdoc with the VA doing Prolonged Exposure (PE) with active duty soldiers and veterans returning from the current Middle East conflicts as well as Vietnam veterans. I have been diagnosing and treating patients for over 6 years using Cognitive-Behavioral techniques.
I am interested in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and I have experience and training with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for Borderline Personality Disorder.
