I am a Provisionally-Licensed Clinical Psychologist completing post-doctoral work. My current clinical supervisor for private work is Dr. Kirsten Haman (Ph.D.), is a known and respected Cognitive-Behavioral Psychologist at Vanderbilt University.
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) in 2007 from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I worked for Johnson Mental Health Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee for 2 years and with the Social Security Adminstration for 1 year. My internship training was at the Vanderbilt Adult Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic (VAPOC) in Nashville, TN with a secondary rotation in Military Sexual Trauma at the Department of Veteran Affairs.
I have been diagnosing and treating patients for over 5 years using Cognitive-Behavioral techniques.
I have a particular interest in Borderline Personality Disorder and have attained addtional training in the gold-standard for treatment of the disorder, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I co-lead a DBT skills-training group from 2006-2007 while at Vanderbilt and am in the process of beginning a group that will begin in early 2009.
I have continued working at the VA in the PTSD intensive program and am just beginning private practice. |
